Tiger Woods at the 1997 Masters. These are some of the finest moments in the sporting world’s history, and they remain etched in our memories today.
But there’s also a lighter side to the sporting world. A side involving less-than-memorable moments of infamy. Whether it be a spoiled, affluent tight-end on a college football team going off on a tirade about being a ‘f***ing soldier’, a soccer goalie scoring a full-field goal on his counterpart, or a Major League Baseball manager getting arrested and passing out at the wheel of his car with a paltry 0.093% BAC, there are infamous moments where the sporting and entertainment worlds collide.
Tiger Woods and Jesse Owens will never be forgotten. But will you always remember Kellen Winslow’s tirade, or Paul Robinson’s amazing kick? Will you remember Tony LaRussa’s epic quest to be exiled by the male gender for his inability to handle even a moderate level of alcohol?
