Apparently NHL commissioner Gary Bettman is continuing his fine work with the ever-popular National Hockey League. In addition to securing a lucrative televisio deal with a major network such as OLN/Versus, coming up with a puck that had a cosmic tail on TV, spearheading a fan-killing lock-out (actually two of them - don’t forget 1995), and essentially eliminating fighting to the point one is more likely to see a brawl erupt on the set of ‘The View’ than on an NHL rink, Bettman is fresh off signing a deal with XM Satellite radio to broadcast NHL games next season.
However, Bettman has yet to clarify if those signals will be sent to planets other than Earth, where it’s possible people might still care about hockey.
