“Now which one of us should prepare the prenup?”
San Antonio Spurs Frenchman point guard Tony Parker is slated to tie the knot with Desparate Housewives star Eva Longoria on July 7, and apparently there was a bidding war over the rights to exclusive rights to the couples’ wedding day photos that was rivaled only by the bidding war my dad got into in 1994 to get Lindsay Hunter’s autographed game shoes from his NBA debut for my brother and I. On a quick side note, that purchase would go down as the worst sports memorabilia buy in my family’s history, except that the proceeds when to the Karmanos Cancer Institute. So buying a Detroit Tigers Travis Fryman rookie card for 22 bucks (or at the time about two weeks of paper route money) has earned the title of worst sports memorabilia purchase in my family’s history, at least until someone comes home with a used jockstrap of Todd Jones.
Now that you’ve probably gotten your daily regurgitation out of the way, back to the story at hand. Apparently the tabloid ‘OK!’ won the frenzied bidding to have the exclusive Parker-Longoria photos for the menial sum of two million dollars. I like that use of money personally. It’s not everyday you have the chance to have access to a celebrity wedding that may feature the first ever salsa flavored mousse desert. Anyway, I’ve never heard of ‘OK!’, but now that they have the rights to the photos to the first ever Frenchixan wedding, I might have to start reading.
Let’s just hope Tony doesn’t get the same denial when he attempts to stuff Eva on their wedding night that he’s been known to get when he attempts to stuff on the basketball court.
