Kelvim Escobar
Kei Igawa got the job done last night as expected. The Yankees took care of the Giants easily but unfortunately gave up a home run to the fat head Barry Bonds. That moves my record to 164-119-2 over my last 285 hitting 58% of my games along this stretch. Today I like a couple of the games on the board so let’s get to it.
Today I look at the Match-Up between the L.A. Angels and the Pittsburgh Pirates
1. Kelvim Has Proven He Can Go Deep Into Games.
Kelvim Escobar has pitched 41 of a possible 45 innings in his last five starts at home and has a 1.54 ERA in those starts. The Angels won four of the five and all four victories were runline winners as well. I look for Escobar to cover the runline again tonight for the Angels.
2. Angels Are Best At Home.
The Angels are MLB’s top home team both straight up (27-10) and as far as profits are concerned where they are up +10.96 units. They will add to those profits tonight.
3. Not a Great Streak.
The Pirates are on a three-game losing streak and were twice shut out in their recent series with the Seattle Mariners. I just don’t see the Pirates staying in this game.
Bruiser is taking the Angels (-1.5) {+106}
Bruiser’s Other Bets
“Tim Wakefield has looked solid this season and today should be no different.”
“The Orioles are just sad ride the D-Backs to a victory.”
