Around The Horn is Parlayer’s periodic link dump.
I’d like to throw special emphasis on one of our links for this week’s Around The Horn post. Check out www.fanbash.com in your spare time. They’ve got a great setup, and have a unique interface that allows the posts to be almost exclusively reader dominated. The name of the site doesn’t lie.
The gist of the site is that various topics are posted posing popular debates in the sporting world (i.e. the most overrated athlete, the greatest venue in sports, etc…), and the users submit their own answers to the daily topics. Ultimately, it’s perhaps the most interactive sports blog I’ve seen so far, and I highly recomend taking a little bit of time to check them out. You can also find a link to them on our blogroll.
Also, some of you might say that the first link isn’t necessarily ’sports’ related. Well, I have only two things to say. One, Barker’s cameo in Happy Gilmore at least gives the link at least some tangential relationship to sports. Two, any man who hosted a game show that gave me an incentive to skip class from 1st grade in 1988 to my senior year of college in 2005 deserves some recognition when he’s hanging up the microphone.
