VIDEO: More Memorable Baseball Meltdowns - Lee Elia And Tommy Lasorda

June 13th, 2007 · 61 Comments

Last week, I posted a rather lengthy dissertation on 20 of the most epic meltdowns in sports history. Well, if that post was the equivalent to ‘Cheers’, get ready for the spin-off ‘Frasier’ post soon of epic Bob Knight blowups.

But in the meantime, here’s some additional follow up to last week’s meltdown post: an audio clip of ex-Dodgers’ managerTommy Lasorda giving his opinion after Dave Kingman hit three homers in one game against Lasorda’s Dodgers, and an audio clip of former Cubs‘ manager Lee Elia expressing his displeasure with the apparently welfare-collecting daytime fans at Wrigley Field.

Anyway, here’s Elia voicing his concern with the 15% of the world’s population that is jobless, also known to Elia as Wrigley Field day game patrons.

And here’s good old Tommy and his thoughts on Kingman’s three-tater performance (sorry the video is actually a medley of Lasorda audio clips, but the specific comments on Kingman are in there).
