I remember back when I was in high school and there were always those bully students and coaches who would give me…err…I mean the resident school nerds wedgies and swirlies. Well, I have a feeling the water-cooler discussion at Magic The Gathering tournaments these days deals with how much the nerds miss the days of wedgies and swirlies, because apparently they’re long gone.

Apparently a token bully high school gym teacher in Long Island thought it would be an appropriate course of action to use MacGuyver’s favorite tool and duct tape a student’s legs together. Now, most people would probably say at this point that’s nothing compared to your typical swirly or wedgie, except for the fact that the tape job was so severe the student ended up taking a dive that would make Anderson Varejao proud and breaking his arm.

Just a gut feeling that this student did not play basketball or football, but rather someone who considered himself more of a ‘cyber athlete‘.
