Road ballparks make Ervin Santana shiver
Yesterday was just another day where I predicted exactly what was going to happen in my column. The Cubs were all over Cormier from the first pitch which Soriano hit out of the park all the way till Sorianos third homer of the game. I went 2-1 losing a (+265) parlay which was a long shot at the get go. Today is another day and another reason to follow me to the promise land. My record now stands at 159-110-2 over my last 271. Let’s get at it and bruise those bookies.
Today I look at the Match-Up between the St. Louis Cardinals and the L.A. Angels
1. Ervin Santana’s Struggles on the Road.
Ervin Santana has been dominant at Angel Stadium this year, going 4-1 with a 2.41 ERA in six starts. His outings on the road, however, have been the complete opposite. He is 0-5 with a 9.30 ERA over six starts, having given up 11 homers while walking 17. I look for Santana to struggle again in St. Louis tonight.
2. Santana’s Last Road Start.
Santana made his last road start on May 24 against Detroit in which he lasted a season-low 3 2-3 innings and was tagged for eight runs in a 12-0 loss. Those type of outings stay with you for awhile.
3. Looper has been Solid.
Braden Looper is a solid 3-1 at home posting a 2.32 ERA in five starts. I look for Looper to be comfortable in front of the home crowd tonight at Busch Stadium.
Bruiser is taking the Cards (-117) over the Angels
Bruiser’s Other Bets
“Bruce Bowen is just to much for Lebron to handle. This should be a short series.”
“Shields has been solid this season but I like Willis to out-duel him in this one.”
“Boston’s bats will support Tavarez tonight.”
“This is a solid Saturday Night Parlay.”
