Bruiser’s Bet: Cormier Will Struggle Once Again vs. the Cubs

June 8th, 2007 · No Comments

Lance Cormier

Well last night was a crazy night I won the game but I was wrong when I predicted that Curt Schilling would pitch well against the A’s because Curt flat out was phenomenal. He was 1 out away from a no-hitter but fell short as he gave up a single along the second base side. But his no hitter really means nothing to us because we cashed in with a sold Red Sox’s victory. That moves my record to 157-109-2 over my last 268. Let’s get into today’s games and continue bruising those bookies.

Today I look at the Match-Up between the Atlanta Braves and the Chicago Cubs

1. Cubs With a Little Run Here.
The Cubs look to win three straight games for the first time in a month while the Braves try to avoid losing a season-high four in a row when the teams continue their four-game series Friday at Turner Field. I look for the Cubs to win their 3rd in a row.

2. Cormier Struggles.
Lance Cormier will take the mound for the Braves tonight looking to improve upon his last outing where the Cubs knocked him around for eight runs and nine hits - including three home runs - in four innings. I look for Cormier to struggle and the Cubs to hit him around once again.

Bruiser is taking the Cubs (-108) over the Braves

Bruiser’s Other Bets

  • Take the Angels (-125) over the Cardinals
    “Bartolo is well rested and will pitch well tonight”
  • Parlay the Yankees (-180), Twins (-180), and Dodgers (-196) {+265}
    “I like these odds with this 3-teamer”
  • Here are some good reads:
