How long ago was it that Chris Shelton was smacking 13 home runs in the month of April for the Detroit Tigers last season? By calender definition, that was just a little over one year ago. However, to Shelton it must seem like an eternity, as he’s currently hitting a whopping .283 with 3 homers in the minors for the Toledo Mud Hens. And, if you click the aforementioned link, you’ll see Big Red also sporting the worst profile picture of any player in any sport of all time, bar none.
Anyway, check out this video of our favorite one-month wonder at an autograph session where a ‘fan’ (I use that term very loosely) opts to have Shelton sign his Ocean Spray juice bottle instead of his unused baseball for fear that Shelton’s signature would devalue the 90 cent ball. Gotta love it.
