2-1 on last night. One game short of the 3-sport tri-fecta last night. Once again though, I was right on with my NBA pick. It was all about the bench for the Cavs, and Daniel Gibson answered the call, and now the Cavs are in the Finals. The Senators came through in their must-win game like I predicted as well. Too bad there won’t be many NHL or NBA Finals games left this summer. Have no fear, the MLB picks will heat up soon enough.
Tigers -130 at Indians
This is been a great series thus far. Both teams are battling for early season position atop the division. The Indians have dominated the Tigers so far, but Detroit is coming off a strong game last night and has their ace on the hill this afternoon. Both squads have been red hot at the plate, but watch out for the day game after a night game. I’m sure a lot of players on both teams will be getting the afternoon off today, making way for a few extra bench players. Run production should be down on both sides this afternoon, and I favor the Tigers here because they have a really strong bench and the better pitcher on the hill today. On top of all that, the Indians put their own Jeremy on the mound, Sowers that is. Sowers is posting a 1-5 record this season with a bloated 6.29 ERA, is that doesn’t make you like the Tigers even more, I’m not sure what will.
