VIDEO: Why Sports Reporters Should Carry Breathalizers At All Times

May 23rd, 2007 · No Comments

Baltimore Orioles’ field reporter Amber Theoharis, like many field sports reporters, has probably had her difficulties dealing with drunken fans during her career. Granted, she has no control over what anyone she interviews chooses to say on live TV, but I would like to think she’d survey her field of potential interviewees before going on the air live.

Under Armour may be out to protect that house, but they clearly aren’t out to protect that broadcast from profane speech. Amber tells us there are 900 employees from Under Armour present at the game; my gut feeling is there were 899 employees from Under Armour at the game by the time this thing aired. God, how could she not spot this lush ready to uncork Bruce Willis style a mile away? Our F-Bomber has the same look on his face a ten year old kid gets when he runs up to someone’s house and rings the doorbell, then promptly runs away (freeze the video somewhere around eleven to twelve seconds in to see it). As an added bonus, I also love the awkward light laughter than his co-employees emit when this dude decides to spew out everyone’s favorite four letter noun, verb, and adjective on national TV. They all have the “Dude, that was funny like 12 years ago, and you probably just got fired” look on their face, but they at least give him an uncomfortable courtesy chuckle to lift his spirits on his way out.

Either way, I had a f**kin’ great time watching that video.

How come none of the people wearing Under Armour in this clip are ever in the commercials?
